Una amiga de toda la vida, se fue a vivir a Japón, pasaron seis años, tres hijos - uno mío y dos de ella- y finalmente volvió. En su honor, acá van tres ejemplos de diseño japonés que me partieron la cabeza y a ella le dedico este post.
La primera es una lámpara de papel que cuando la doblás tiene un espesor de 2 cm.
La silla está hecha completamente a mano, sólo utilizando aluminio y las dos herramientas de la foto. Nada más.
El tercero es un reloj. Qué? Si, ponés agua en cualquier plato y vaso y las bolitas que flotan te marcan la hora y los minutos.

A long time friend of mine went to live to Japan, six years and three children -one mine, two hers- later, she´s back. So in her honor, here are three examples of japanese design that amazed me.
The first one is a paper lamp that when folded is 2 cm thick.
The chair is totally handmade, created bending aluminum using only the tools shown.
The third is a clock. Yes, you put water on any plate and glass of your choice and the balls float showing the time.
